Carlos J. Queirós ::BiographyCarlos J. Queirós, a Portuguese American writer, was born and raised in the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey. His work has appeared in My Generation, AARP The Magazine, AARP Segunda Juventud, On Tap Magazine, Críticas Magazine, Library Journal, Forge, The Newark Metro, and other publications. He regularly reviews books, interviews writers, and provides manuscript consultations for publishers and bestselling authors. Prior to leaving the world of editing—to dedicate himself to writing a novel and collection of short stories—he worked for Scholastic, The Paris Review, My Generation, Sanford J. Greenburger Associates, AARP Segunda Juventud, and Simon & Schuster. Carlos has a Master of Arts in English/Creative Writing from Temple University where he was a Future Faculty Fellow and was awarded the Frances Tebet Israel Prize in fiction.
